Meet Brittany Freeman

with Plush Art Studio

I am a visual artist who works in multiple disciplines including textile art, sculpture, and painting. I specialize in making realistic poseable props and dolls for use in stop motion, film, and theater. I make textile sculptures in both art doll style and traditional plush, the entire process from pattern drafting to airbrushing are all done by hand. When I am not working on textile sculpture, you can find me painting. I specialize in pet portraits, and am currently working on a series of landscapes focused primarily in western North Carolina.

The largest life sized art doll I've made to date. This is a pet replica, and was a memorial piece. He is fully poseable, weighted, and hand dyed.

I sell plush sewing patterns on my Etsy page. This tutorial is made to accompany one of my patterns to make plush making more accessible to beginners.
