Meet Maura Bosbyshell

with Bosbyshell Art + Home

I am a life-long fiber artist who has recently added digital design as a key skill set. I design prints and patterns for interior decor, such as bedding and tabletop items, as well as fabric by-the-yard and wallpaper. Both my custom work and my digital designs--which are also available in a custom, one-of-a-kind format--typically start as original art. I use a variety of techniques, like hand-printing and dyeing, and a variety of materials, like inks, dyes, and acrylic paint. I collaborate with my partner, Wil Bosbyshell, a fine artist whose Climate Conversations project uses large-scale tree drawings to spark conversation on the impact of trees and nature in our lives. Many of my prints are natural-inspired, and others are bold and unexpected. All my work is designed to engage the viewer, and help create peaceful and joyful surroundings. I have been working with textiles for as long as I can remember. Adding digital design has been a true job, but I am always up for a challenge.
