Meet Pineapple Baby

Pineapple Baby (Angel), a singer-pianist, musician, healing arts presenter, choreographer, Berklee College of Music alumna. She sings in multiple languages (Hawaiian, African languages: Swahili, Zulu and Xhosa, and Chinese Mandarin), plays multiple instruments: piano, Celtic harp, traditional Chinese flute Hulusi, and percussions. She grew up in a classical music family, both parents are music educators. She started learning classical vocal and piano when she was 6 years old, started to explore contemporary music when she was 11 years old. Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, and Charice Pempengco (now known as Jake Zyrus) have been her big influence in her singing career. In 2015, during her study at Berklee College of Music, she fell in love with gospel music, Latin American music, African music and dance. Her Gospel singing is influenced by African American Gospel singers CeCe Winans and Kierra Sheard. Her AfroDance is influenced by AfroDancers: Izzy Odigie, SayrahChips, Ornella Nella, YourFavAfrican and Manuel Kanza. After graduated from Berklee, she started to explore Polynesian music and dance.
