Meet Regina Calton Burchett

with Regina Burchett Fine Art

Regina is a North Carolina artist working in pastels, charcoal, and oils. She graduated from Michigan State University, studying textiles and art, and has continued her art studies after graduation. She has given demos and workshops over the last 15 years on painting skies and clouds with pastels and creating landscapes in charcoal. As an artist, her passion lies in capturing the every-changing beauty of the sky using oils and pastels. She is constantly mesmerized by the movement of the clouds, the vivid colors that paint the horizon, and the way in which the sky transforms throughout the day. Through her artwork, she strives to convey the majesty and vastness of the sky, while also expressing the subtle nuances that make each moment unique. There is a sense of tranquility in the way that the sky changes, and she aims to capture this serenity while also conveying the sense of awe and wonder that it inspires. Whether working with oils or pastels, Regina approaches her artwork with a sense of reverence for nature, allowing the colors and the movement to guide her hand. Her hope is that those who view her paintings will be inspired to pause and reflect on the beauty of the natural world around them.
